Patience & Dogs Are Two Peas In A Pod

One thing you wish your clients knew before coming to you?

You nor your dog will not become a pro dog parent overnight. No matter how many hours of research you put into google researching the best food, bones, and products. Learning takes time and is the last thing you want to hear when struggling with a new puppy or land shark in your home. Things will get better; repeat after me.

No matter what skill you learn like a human, you start as a novice. You are learning your dog; your dog is learning your environment and routine.

Have patience with yourself and your dog while learning each other and forming a bond. It is hard for me to accept being a novice at a new skill as a perfectionist. It is even harder to admit when I need outside help. I get it, but the wonderful thing about having a dog is that they do not judge you. You both are learning together and becoming better versions of yourself each day. We all have to start somewhere, and it is essential to remember that when it comes to building new skills for us and our pups.

Ruth created to look at the whole dog for a successful and custom training program. Ruth has been in the dog professional career for eight-plus years and has experience with small and large breeds, behavioral, reactivity, and aggression cases. Ruth loves dogs and is a dog mom to three good doggos. Oakley is a 6yr old Akita and Cattle Dog Mix that she adopted. Zena is a Husky/ Pitt mix that Ruth took in as an unruly puppy. Last but not least is Bean, the five-pound chihuahua that they rescued as well. We love empowering owners and their dogs to enjoy a stress-free life together.
